Have you been asking yourself, “How am I supposed to be the mom that does everything and does it all well? Why do I feel so overwhelmed all of the time? Why can’t I keep it together? Why is this harder than I thought it would be?”
Working with many adolescents and adults over the past 20 years has helped me learn that so many of us are trying to navigate this world but so often we are thrown off by anxiety, stress and situations we did not expect. This leaves us stuck and overwhelmed, not knowing what steps to take to move forward.
I help clients create a space where they can feel safe and allow themselves the time to figure all of this out. We work on better understanding your barriers (past and present), daily struggles, relationship dynamics and personal patterns that are part of your life. We then identify what is holding you back from reaching your personal life goals and happiness.
Many clients come to me experiencing sadness, frustration, anger and confusion. They are working so hard towards the things in life that they want to achieve but they keep getting derailed. They are not finding joy and often feel on edge and easily overwhelmed. Often past issues that have gone unresolved are popping up and contributing to the current areas where they are getting stuck.
Therapy can help connect the dots from the past and present. I can help you work towards addressing change through understanding what is holding you back and teaching you the skills to process whatever that is and solid coping skills to help you move forward in a healthy way and manage things as they come up.
My approach to therapy is client focused, working on empowerment, self love, gaining control of your life and learning to trust yourself. My training background is in trauma treatment, evidenced based therapies & EMDR. I use a combination of these to help the client with what they want to achieve.
